Mesir - Petani memanen gandum di lembah Sungai Nil, kawasan yang terkenal subur sejak ribuan tahun lalu. Kini, produksi gandum di Mesir digenjot untuk mengurangi impor.

Petani masih menggunakan kuda untuk mengangkut batang tanaman gandum yang sudah dirontokkan.

Perang Ukraina-Rusia membuat impor gandum dari kedua negara tersebut mengalami gangguan. Swasembada gandum menjadi salah satu solusinya.

Pasokan gandum Mesir mengalami gangguan karena keran impor dari Rusia dan Ukraina terganggu akibat perang. Pemerintah Mesir menggenjot produksi gandum lokal khususnya di kawasan delta Nil.

Gandum yang sudah dipanen dimasukkan ke dalam karung dan dijahit. Kawasan itu terkenal subur sejak era Firaun, ribuan tahun lalu.
