Kenya - Presiden baru Kenya William Ruto menghapus subsidi BBM yang dianggap membebani kas negara. Harga BBM di Kenya pun menyentuh level tertingginya.

Presiden baru Kenya William Ruto menghapus subsidi BBM yang dianggap membebani kas negara. Kebijakan ini diambil sehari setelah ia dilantik pada 13 September 2022. Otoritas Regulasi Energi & Perminyakan Kenya menghapus subsidi BBM dan menaikkan harganya sebesar 13%. Harga BBM di Kenya pun menyentuh level tertingginya.

Dikutip dari kenyans.co.ke, Jumat (16/9/2022), harga BBM jenis Super Petrol naik sebesar Ksh 20 atau Rp 2.480 ke rekor tertingginya yaitu Ksh 179,30 atau Rp 22.223 per liter. Diesel naik jadi Ksh 165 atau Rp 20.460 per liter, sementara Minyak Tanah naik 20 Ksh menjadi Ksh 147,94 atau Rp 18.344 per liter di Nairobi.

Di Mombasa, satu liter bensin, solar, dan minyak tanah akan dijual masing-masing seharga Rp 21,824, Rp 20,182 dan Rp 18.065.
