Italia - Mahasiswa di Italia melakukan aksi protes atas mahalnya sewa tempat tinggal. Protes itu dilakukan dengan berkemah di dekat patung Minerva kota Roma.

Mahasiswa Universitas Sapienza Roma memprotes biaya sewa yang tinggi dengan tidur di tenda di depan patung Minerva, Roma, Italia, Kamis (11/5/2023).

Tingginya biaya sewa tempat tinggal di Italia membuat mahasiswa Universitas La Sapienza Roma melakukan aksi protes.

Aksi itu dilakukan dengan mendirikan tenda dan berkemah di depan patung Minerva. Aksi serupa ini juga diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa dari kampus lainnya.

Keluhan itu datang dalam beberapa hari terakhir dari mahasiswa yang kuliah di universitas Romawi tetapi tidak tinggal di ibu kota. Koordinator aksi Leone Piva mengatakan untuk hidup yang layak dibutuhkan 900 euro per bulan.

Angka yang dalam beberapa kasus bisa turun menjadi 600 euro, tetapi walau bagaimanapun membutuhkan bantuan orang tua. Sulit untuk mendapatkan hunian yang layak dengan harga sewa di bawah 350 euro per bulan. Itu pun belum termasuk utilitas.
